I sell on eBay, how is MyMart™ different?

  • Instead of providing one great big marketplace for merchants, MyMart™ allows merchants to create branded shops and promote those shops with SMS marketing. You can go direct to your customer, instead of fighting it out with 100s of other merchants.
  • MyMart™‘s SMS keywords are easy to remember, use and promote. The result is that more people reach your shop.
  • eBay’s mobile experience is very limited compared to MyMart™.

Why can’t I just get people to browse my normal site on their phone?

  • Unless your site is designed for mobile phones, the experience will be very poor. People are unlikely to buy from a site which looks broken or unprofessional. MyMart™ is optimised for a large range of phones and designed to be quick and simple to use.
  • Credit card payments are not ideal for mobile users. We offer a variety of payment methods which are more secure, including the option to call you right away.

Is MyMart™ secure?

  • Every user on MyMart™ must have a working UK mobile phone number, this means spammers can not create 100s of new accounts.
  • Any account that does have fraudulent activity will be banned by phone number, this makes it harder for known fraudsters to return.
  • MyMart™ uses industry standard security technology, SSL, to protect payments.

Can WAP push messages be reused?

  • Yes, customers can access your shop many times from one message, it can be stored and used as a bookmark. They may return several times before making a purchase.

Do people buy stuff from their phones?

  • There are many times when people are unable to access their computer, but interested in making a purchase or getting more information about your products.
  • They may be in a high street store, looking at a product, and be interested to see if you have a better price. They can instantly get the price from your WAP shop on their phone, even if they decide to buy from you later online or by phone.
  • They may see an advert or something that reminds them of a need to purchase whilst out and about. With online-only shops, they need to get back to a computer before making the purchase. With a MyMart™ shop, they can make the purchase then and there and go on with their day.

How do I know that the messages you’re sending to customers aren’t fraudulent?

  • MyMart™ prevents message fraud by analysing patterns of use by individual phone numbers and messages sent to individual merchants.
  • Here at MyMart™ we take fraud incredibly seriously. If for any reason there is fraudulant activity on your account we will refund that months activity to you in full.
