Text messagesYou can use text messages to communicate with MyMart™ quickly and easily wherever you are. You can use them to bid, buy and sell. BuyingWhen we get your picture or video we’ll send you a text message containing an url. Your phone will see the url and allow you to follow it. Click the “Go to” or “Follow URL” option (the exact label may vary). Your phone will load our simple form, just follow the instructions. The message we send you back will be a browser message. This message works in the same way as a text message but it allows you to follow a link to the MyMart™ mobile internet site. It may be stored separately from normal messages, for example in the “Browser messages” folder on your phone, if you need to find it again. SellingFor quick and easy instruction on how to sell on MyMart™ via your mobile text “sell” to 60067. We will send you back a text message, click the “Go to” or “Follow URL” option (the exact label may vary). Your phone will load our simple form, just follow the instructions. If you have already taken a picture or video of the item that you want to sell you can send it as a picture message to 07720 11 00 22. Follow the link in the text message that we send back to you, fill in the simple form and your item will be listed within minutes. BiddingTo bid on an item via text message you will need to know its code which you will find on the page it is listed on, either online or on you mobile phone. To place a bid text “bid” and then the code and the maximum amount that you want to bid to 60067. For example, to bid £530 for item 214 text “bid 214 530” to 60067. You will be asked to confirm you really want to place a bid, just follow the instructions and reply to the message. You can check on your bids from the “Your account” page. When will I be sent text messages?MyMart™ will send you text messages to keep you up to date on what is going on with items that you are buying or selling. You can choose exactly when MyMart™ sends you text messages by setting your preferences in the “Your account” section. You can either set default options for all messages or chose to receive different alerts for each item. Communication settingsYour communication settings control what messages we will send you and when, by text or email. Go to Your account to set your default communications settings. You can choose when you want us to send you a text message – when bids are made on items you’re selling or you’re out-bid, when your item closes or never if you prefer. You can also subscribe to our newsletter. Set notificationsYou can also choose different notification options for each individual item you are buying or selling. To do this click on the “Set notification” button. Online this is located under the “Buying” or “Selling” column or on the “Notifications” button in the left hand column. When you select an option for an item, the settings will be saved immediately if your browser is up to date. With older browsers or when browsing with your phone, click the update notifications button. How do I stop MyMart™ sending me any messages?If you don’t want us to send you any more messages at all just text “stop” to 60067. All messages will stop immediately and we will change your default setting to receive no messages for items you bid on or sell afterwards. You can change it back from Your account later. |
