What is MyMart™?

MyMart™ is the world’s first mobile-powered auction site. You can buy and sell things directly from your mobile phone, anywhere, anytime.

Use your phone camera to take a picture or video of your item, send it to us as a picture message , follow our quick and easy instructions to describe your item and choose a price. Your item will be live on our site in minutes.

People can browse what’s for sale, bid and buy all from their computers or from their phones at m.mymart.com.

How is MyMart™ different from eBay?

eBay’s service is aimed more and more at professional sellers and has become too complicated for individuals. People want to buy and sell things quickly and simply, MyMart™ lets you do that. You can bid for an item while sitting on the bus or list that unwanted Christmas present while you’re still round at your Gran’s. Of course, for those who prefer, you can do all this from a computer as well at mymart.com.

Instead of a picture you can also make a video of the item that you want to sell. This is a great way to let buyers get a good look at your item. Think of it as your own shopping channel! You can practice your pitch and see how good a salesperson you really are.

How much does it cost to use MyMart™?

We are currently doing final testing and checking of the site. During this period, buying and selling on MyMart™ is free. There is no fee to list an item, or to buy one.

Text messages

MyMart™ does not make money from premium rate text messages. We receive no income from the cost of you sending or receiving messages. The cost of sending messages is set by your phone network and text messages or picture messages sent to MyMart™ are charged at the same rate as the same messages sent to any other contact.

Phone charges

When you list on MyMart™ from your mobile phone you will need to send us an MMS or picture message, this will be charged at your standard network operator’s rate according to your tariff. When you submit the details of your listing you will be accessing the internet from your phone, which is also charged according to your operator’s tariff. Many networks allow you to do all this at no extra cost. The listing process should take no more than a couple of minutes.

The same applies to browsing items on the site from your mobile as well as bidding and buying. Of course using mymart.com on a computer is completely free, all you need is access to the internet.
